Celebration of SLLS’s 50th Anniversary and Tulane Law’s 30 Years of Pro BonoPosted on: August 14, 2018
On February 19, 2018, Tulane University Law School hosted a CLE to discuss SLLS 50th Anniversary Kick Off Celebration how civil legal aid, pro bono attorneys, and law students help close the justice gap for vulnerable people.
Speakers included: Chris Ralston, Partner at Phelps Dunbar and SLLS Board Member; Judy Perry Martinez, Of Counsel at Simon, Peragine, and SLLS Distinguished Fellow; The Honorable Judge Bernadette D’Souza; and Ana Lopez, Lutz Fellow 2016-2017, and current SLLS Domestic Violence Attorney.
We also honored Mr. Laurent Lutz for his strong commitment to civil justice. Mr. Lutz, a 1986 Tulane Law School graduate, funds fellowship positions for Tulane graduates at SLLS. These Lutz Fellows protect the rights of vulnerable clients in domestic violence and child protection cases.
