emergency declaration<\/p>\n<p><u>Tips before and after the Disaster:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get the papers\/emails that show where you live: lease, utility bills, other bills, mail.\n<ul>\n<li>Keep them safe and take pictures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Before the storm take pictures of your personal belongings: furniture, appliances, clothing, computers, work equipment and tools\n<ul>\n<li>Go room by room<\/li>\n<li>Try to capture the items in the home to show before and after<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your pictures show both the item and the room, only use closeups once you show the item is your home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you evacuate, keep records of all your costs: food, gas, hotels\/motels, personal items,<\/li>\n<li>After a disaster, if possible, take pictures of all the soon as possible<\/li>\n<li>You can apply for FEMA during this time and we recommend you apply if registration opens up in your area<\/li>\n<li>FEMA will now help insured survivors who did not receive enough insurance money to complete their repairs, replace items or cover logging expenses.<\/li>\n<li>You will have to prove that you spent all the money on the intended purpose.\n<ul>\n<li>So, if you received insurance money for home repairs, you must show that all the money was spent on home repairs.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to keep receipts of all your expenses,\n<ul>\n<li>we recommend taking
