There are over 800,000 SNAP recipients in Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p>If SNAP (Louisiana Purchase) is not available on <strong>November 1, 2025<\/strong>, local food banks may face shortages and long waits\/delays.<\/p>\n<p>If you are currently getting or applying for SNAP benefits, you should continue to complete all your administrative requirements to avoid any delays once SNAP resumes.<\/p>\n<p>If you are currently getting or have applied for benefits, you may continue to get notices from the Louisiana Department of Health, which now runs the SNAP program.
