(More about that below.)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Here is a list of the aid programs: <\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP\/food stamps)<\/li>\n<li>Medicaid<\/li>\n<li>Supplemental Security Income (SSI). (This is different than the Social Security that most people receive.)<\/li>\n<li>Federal Public Housing assistance, including \u201cSection 8\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefits<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifelinesupport.org\/do-i-qualify\/#tribal\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #138a43;\">Tribal Programs<\/span><\/a> (for people living on federally-recognized Tribal lands)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Here are income levels to qualify for the program:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>The government has not posted the 2022 income levels for Lifeline to the public yet. Box)<\/li>\n<li>Proof of your income or that you get the aid benefits listed earlier in this article<\/li>\n<li>If you are not in one of the aid programs listed earlier you can send a copy if your tax return from last year or proof of three months in a row of your income.<\/li>\n<li>You might be able to give other kinds of proof of your income if your documents do not cover the whole year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Different companies offer different plans. The amount of minutes may be different. The amount of data may be different.<\/p>\n<p>Find out if the company offers a free phone with its service.<\/p>\n<p>Different companies have different offerings. Find out ahead of time what the company offers.<\/p>\n<p>You can use your ZIP Code on the phone company\u2019s site to see what the company covers where you live.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples.
