Invest in Justice on GiveNOLA Day-May 7, 2019

GiveNOLA Day is May 7, 2019

Thank you for your commitment to increasing access to justice for all! We hope you will show your support for our mission this year by making a donation to SLLS on GiveNOLA Day.

What is GiveNOLA Day? An initiative of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, it is a one-day online giving event. For 24 hours, everyone who loves our region can support their favorite local causes by donating to nonprofit organizations like SLLS.

GiveNOLA Day is only ONE WEEK away. On May 7, 2019, every donation to SLLS at GiveNOLA.org/SLLS will help us claim our share of the bonus dollars from the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Lagniappe Fund.

Please help us and our 50 More Years Committee reach our goal of raising $15,000 on GiveNOLA Day.

Every donation of $10 or more at GiveNOLA.org/SLLS gets us closer to meeting our goal.

How will your donation help the fight for fairness in the justice system?

Each year, SLLS supporters like you help over 25,000 families in our area break down legal barriers to health, safety, housing, and much more. You can read some of their stories and see how our supporters dollars increase access to justice in our most recent Annual Report and on the SLLS Blog Page.

There, you will find a story about "Cameron" – a young man who our supporters helped overcome legal barriers interfering with his education. They helped him become the first person in his family to go to college. You can also read stories about domestic violence survivors, children escaping abuse, and so many others whose lives our supporters helped change.

We hope you will join the fight for fairness by investing in civil legal aid again this GiveNOLA Day at GiveNOLA.org/SLLS. The site is open for receiving donations starting today.

If you have any questions about GiveNOLA Day or SLLS, please let me know. You can email Gwynne Mashon, Director of Development and Strategic Communications, at gmashon@slls.org or call her at 504-274-0444.

Thanks again!

Laura Tuggle, Executive Director
