What happens after I call?

When you call an SLLS office, you won’t reach an attorney immediately. You should leave a message with your name, phone number parish, and a short description of your legal issue.
Someone will you back within two business days.



Walk In

When you walk in to an SLLS office, it is helpful if you have these important documents with you, but if it’s an emergency don’t wait until you collect them all to come in. Here are some examples of the documents you should bring:

ID, income information, court notices or pleadings, public benefits documents, proof of household income (pay stubs), or anything relevant to your legal issue.
