FEMA’s trailer and temporary housing program will last until Feb. 29, 2024, for survivors of Hurricanes Ida, Delta, or Laura.
Here are three important things you need to remember:
- You must pay rent to stay in your trailer or unit.
- FEMA always charges a whole month of rent! If you live in a trailer or other unit part of a month, you must pay for the entire month.
- If you live in a FEMA trailer, check with your local officials about zoning rules. Some Parishes made short-term zoning rules to allow people to have FEMA trailers.
If you have questions, you can contact FEMA.
You can call (225) 346-4119 to talk about trailers with FEMA.
